Week 1

BIULD YOUR FOUNDATION

Understand how great riding becomes great teaching.

Riding | Start by refining the fundamentals of your own riding. You’ll work on body position, balance, lower-body steering and edge control, while being introduced to the CASI Level 1 riding standard and mandatory manoeuvres.

Teaching | Get introduced to the CASI QuickRide system and learn how a beginner snowboard lesson is structured. You’ll begin practising short teaching sessions with your group and learn the fundamentals of clear communication, demonstrations and mountain safety.

BY THE END OF THIS WEEK

You’ll understand what CASI Level 1 expects from both your riding and teaching — and know exactly what you need to work on over the following weeks.

Week 2

LEARN TO TEACH

Go from snowboarder to instructor.

Riding | Continue developing your Level 1 riding tasks, including beginner turns, switch riding, intermediate sliding turns, carving fundamentals and stronger edge control.

Teaching | Work through the complete CASI QuickRide progression and start delivering your own practice lessons. You’ll learn how to explain skills clearly, demonstrate them correctly, analyse a rider and give useful, positive feedback.

BY THE END OF THIS WEEK

You’ll be able to structure and deliver a beginner snowboard lesson with confidence — not just demonstrate the skills yourself.

Week 3

THINK LIKE AN INSTRUCTOR

Adapt your riding and teaching to real students.

Riding | Bring the core riding competencies into different terrain and conditions while consolidating all CASI Level 1 mandatory manoeuvres.

Teaching | Learn how real lessons change depending on who’s standing in front of you. You’ll practise adapting lessons for private students, groups and children, as well as different abilities, learning styles, terrain and snow conditions.

BY THE END OF THIS WEEK

You’ll be able to adapt rather than simply follow a script — and demonstrate the riding and teaching skills expected at CASI Level 1 with greater consistency.

Week 4

GET CERTIFIED

Put four weeks of training into practice.

Final Preparation | Before your assessment, you’ll revisit your riding tasks and practice teaching, work through individual feedback and focus on any remaining areas that need improvement.

CASI Level 1 | Take part in the official CASI Level 1 course and assessment, where both your riding and teaching will be evaluated against the CASI certification standard.

BY THE END OF THIS WEEK

You’ll have completed your CASI Level 1 assessment and gained a much stronger understanding of professional snowboard instruction.
